Terms of trade
This page summarises the principles by which we work. The binding terms apply per transaction through the contract.
Offers
Offers made on the basis of an enquiry are subject to change unless expressly designated as binding. Prices refer to reference quotations plus a differential and apply for the period, quantity and delivery term stated in each case.
Specification
Values stated on this website are typical values and not a warranty of properties. The specification agreed in the contract is binding. For the delivered batch, the analysis in the certificate of analysis applies.
Inspection
Quantity and quality are determined before loading by an independent inspection company, if agreed in the contract. The result of the loading inspection is decisive for both sides unless otherwise agreed. The allocation of costs is regulated in the contract.
Delivery terms
Deliveries are made under Incoterms 2020. The agreed clause determines the transfer of costs and risk, the obligation to insure and responsibility for export and import clearance.
Payment
The standard is the documentary letter of credit, usually payable at sight against presentation of compliant documents. Other instruments are agreed case by case. Advance fees of any kind are neither demanded nor paid.
Claims
Deviations from the agreed specification must be notified without delay after they are found and evidenced by an analysis from a recognised testing body. Period, procedure and dispute resolution follow the contract.
Export and sanctions
All transactions are subject to compliance with applicable export, import and sanctions regulations. A transaction does not come about, and a concluded contract lapses, to the extent that such regulations stand in its way. The buyer warrants not to use or resell the goods in breach of these regulations and will name end users and country of destination on request.
